RECREATIONAL CLASSES
Discover the joy of performing in a creative, welcoming environment! Emerald City Performing Arts’ recreational classes introduce students to the world of musical theatre through acting, singing, dance, and storytelling. Classes are organized by age and explore popular themes and musicals, giving young performers an exciting way to build skills while bringing their favorite stories to life.
Whether your child is stepping onstage for the first time or already loves to perform, our classes provide opportunities to grow in confidence, develop new abilities, and connect with other young artists. Led by experienced teaching artists, each class combines engaging theatre games, movement, music, and ensemble activities in an encouraging, age-appropriate setting.
No previous experience is required—just curiosity, creativity, and a willingness to jump in!
CLASS OFFERINGS
Session One: September-January

MUSICAL THEATRE: Moana and Friends!
WHEN: Wednesdays, 2:00-3:00pm
GRADE LEVELS: Grades 2nd-5th
DESCRIPTION: Set sail on an exciting musical theatre adventure inspired by Disney’s Moana! Students will explore singing, dancing, acting, and storytelling through music and characters from the beloved film. Through engaging theatre games and rehearsal activities, young performers will build confidence, strengthen their performance skills, and work together as an ensemble. No previous experience is required—just a love of performing and a willingness to explore!
ADDITIONAL INFO: Session One classes meet September through January. Students meet weekly from September 16th through January 13th, culminating in a final showcase for family and friends on January 16th. No class on 11/25, 12/23, or 12/30.
REGISTRATION/MATERIALS FEE: $100
MONTHLY TUITIOIN: $100

Note: Minimum enrollment for this class is 6 students and the class is subject to sufficient registration. Families will be notified one week prior to classes beginning if the class is cancelled.
MUSICAL THEATRE: Matilda
WHEN: Wednesdays, 3:00-4:00pm
GRADE LEVELS: Grades 6th-8th
DESCRIPTION: Discover the magic, mischief, and courage of Matilda! Students will develop their singing, dancing, acting, and storytelling skills while exploring songs and characters from the hit musical. Through theatre games, character work, and ensemble choreography, performers will build confidence, strengthen their stage presence, and collaborate with their peers. No previous experience is required.
